We went for dinner today. We had biscuits, brussel sprouts, Mac and cheese, chicken and waffles, and a hamburger. Everything was on point! Delicious food and nice presentation too. Service was impeccable. It was our first time but certainly not the last. Happy to have found it not too far from home.

One of our go-to brunch spots is The Smoking Trout in Marlborough, NH, when driving back to MA and as always on point. Our waitress Nessa took good care of us. The cocktails were spot on. Then the food arrived, hats off to the chef and crew. Both of our meals were super fresh and tasty, and my omlette was so fluffy! Great services, portions, and prices.

Best food in the area!! Everything we ordered came out hot and delicious. The quality of food is something to look forward to as well as the friendly staff! This is my new favorite place to eat at!

We have been going to The Smoking Trout for many months, virtually every week. The food is consistently delicious, and the portions very nice. The staff are extremely pleasant, courteous and efficient. Their oysters are out of the world, their French Onion Soup THE BEST! And they have just started a monthly buffet on the last Tuesday of the month. We were there for the first one, and of course, it was top notch. Do yourself a favor. Go to The Smoking Trout.

First time at the Smoking Trout. We were not disappointed. Had the salmon and the mac-n-cheese. All of it was very good. Ended the night with banna bread pudding.Looking at the meals around us, all the food looked good, and when we asked people if they liked what they had, all said yes.We will be back.

We regularly visit NH and VT from Connecticut to get away for the weekends, and we make it a point every trip to stop by the Toking Salmon.Wait, sorry, the Smoldering SeahorseNope, that's not it either... the Blazing Bluefin!THE SMOKING TROUT! Yes! That is it!If you are now picturing a dapper fedora wearing fish, casually partaking in the consumption of a carcinogenic leaf-tube while sipping a Manhattan and discussing politics, you've got the right idea.Come for the fresh menu consisting of farm to table food, weekly specials on hand-crafted cocktails, and stay for the atmosphere as you dine surrounded by a gallery consisting of artists local to the NH / VT area, with friendly and attentive staff to boot. No, I'm not paid to do this. I just really like this place. The food SLAPS, especially if you're visiting after a few stops at some of Massachusets or Vermont's local "greenhouses." Go and seek consumable wisdom from the fish. You won't regret it.

It was great. The seafood chowder was awesome and we both had the chicken and waffles. So good! Really juicy, so careful of you're on a date. While experience was great. The place had a nice vibe, what can I say?

Came here for the first time this evening. We were given a gift card and saw the food online so we took the drive over.It didn’t disappoint. The food was so good and flavorful you didn’t need to add anything to it. Now it makes sense why there wasn’t S&P on the table. You didn’t need it!I couldn’t decide what I wanted so I got a few things. Probably more than I needed! The calamari, the pretzel, the chips & dip and the kale Cesar salad. My boyfriend got the chowder and the fish and chips. Everything was made from scratch, presumably right down to the batter they used to bread the fried goodies with. Hand cut fries and chips, all the dressings and sauces are made there (although I don’t think the ketchup was homemade? Just tasted like your standard delicious ketchup) and the chowder is made to order. One of the most impressive parts was the cost for what you get. Not only are you getting a made from scratch meal but the portions were big and the prices are very reasonable considering the rising costs of food in general. We highly recommended this place for a family to eat at an affordable price and a quality meal.We will be coming again!
